Sì, è possibile utilizzare FormsAuthentication per la propria strategia. E mentre la struttura asp.net db non ti si addice, si possa fornire una semplice implementazione di MembershipProvider per consentire l'uso delle infrastrutture di appartenenza. Queste due funzionalità non sono sposati così si può decidere quello che si adatta per voi.

Il cookie ASPXAUTH separa il token di autenticazione della sessione del tutto, è uno dei motivi è utilizzato. Se il sistema utilizza sessione allora è davvero in contrasto con ciò che forma l'autenticazione sta cercando di fare.

Se tutto è in una sessione, allora davvero non hanno bisogno il ticket di autenticazione a tutti, supponendo che la sessione è protetta.
